These papers were accumulated by the families of J.C. Overstreet Jr. and his wife Helen Darr Gillette Overstreet and their daughter Linda. John C. Darr, Helen's paternal grandfather, came with his family from North Carolina to Arkansas in 1855. Darr went on to become a founder and prominent merchant in Atkins, Arkansas. Her father James A.
